Prom Dress Give Away
March 7, 2009
My Party Palace Triad
4pm-7pm

Caitlin's Closet is the namesake charity and brainchild of Caitlin Brunell, a fifteen year old young woman with a passion and drive to help other teens. Through the organization she established in 2006, young women have the opportunity to outfit themselves in donated formal wear for their prom, homecoming dance, academic awards or sports banquet.

This spring Caitlin's Closet will be in North Carolina collecting donated dresses for girls in need. A "Dress Giveaway Event" will be held at My Party Palace Triad, hosted by Katie Godfrey, Mrs. Piedmont Triad, 2009. Some dresses have been donated from Mrs. United States and giveaways from Reign Fine Apparel.

Do you have formal dresses just taking up room in your closet? DONATE them and help Triad Girls feel like princesses!!!

Call (336)992-0146 to donate or bring them to My Party Palace

Girls have a DREAM!

As our great country celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we are reminded of how awesome a dream can be! One man had a dream and world has never been the same!

I know I can remember some of the dreams I had when I was a little girl. I can also remember how life beat me up from time to time and I felt like dreaming was a waste of time! We have such an opportunity to encourage girls, children in general to dream and dream BIG! Imagine themselves doing all sorts of fabulous things, helping others all the while!

A wise man, Jonathan Robbins, Lead Pastor at The Summit Church in Kernersville said: "Dreams determine our desires and desires determine our decisions". WOW! We all know that the decisions that we make shape our lives. If dreams some how ultimately determine our decisions which ultimately determine our lives, how can we NOT encourage our children, our daughters to dream?

At My Party Palace Triad, we encourage girls to dream! We put on a fashion show for the "mommies" and ask each girl what she aspires to be when she grows up! We announce each girl's dream into the universe! I am so thankful to have the opportunity to empower girls and women!

Snacks with Santa

Snacks with Santa
Sunday December 7, 2008
Gateway YWCA Winston-Salem

We had the awesome pleasure of providing crafts for the "Snacks with Santa" benefit event on Sunday December 7, 2008! The purpose of the event was to raise awareness about Imprints and Work Family Resource Center in Winston-Salem.

Imprints is committed to helping families with young children thrive. They help families nurture and prepare their children for success through individual and group parent education, collaborations, and referrals. Their intensive services range from Baby Sign, where parents can teach their babies to communicate before he/she can talk, to group parenting classes where parents can learn how other parents incorporate learning into the routines of daily life.

We brought metallic paper crowns with stickers and jewels of course---you gotta have bling! Our table was one of the most popular!!! We even had a "Princess" to visit with the kids who gave out wands to the little girls!! The children loved every minute of it!!!

It is amazing how empowering a tiara can be!

At My Party Palace, we party with purpose....fabulously!!!

High School Musical Party

High School Musical Party

October 17, 2008

Wildcats in Da House!!!

We had sooo much fun!!! We got dressed up, had our nails and make-up done, and stuffed our very own Wildcat to take home---complete with a Wildcat's cheerleading uniform--you can't beat a My Party Palace Triad party!!!

I had the wonderful opportunity to take my daughters to see the High School Musical 3 Movie!! They loved it! I loved the ending! Troy changed his plans for Gabriella (the genius who had been accepted into the Stanford emerging Freshmen's program) and professed how special she was to the entire auditorium---AWWWWAH!!! I also loved the ending song about how they all wanted their lives to be like a High School Musical. (Don't we all?)

At every party/event we allow the girls to put on a fashion show for the Mommies! We announce into the Universe what they aspire to become. Some little Diva's and Princesses name one thing, others name about 5 in total different fields! How special a time when you truly believe that your life will be like High School Musical!! When you dare to dream dreams that are BIG and you are not scared!!! Unfortunately, as we get older, life tells us that life is everything but a High School Musical.

At My Party Palace Triad, we celebrate that "essence" of girls. That part of them that believes, dreams and wishes. The part of them that celebrates who they are when they look at themselves in the mirror!! For the two hours that we have them--life IS a High School Musical--complete with karaoke, fabulous outfits, and friends!!!
